1. Can you describe what the Cancer Vixen Fund is and what it does?
The Cancer Vixen Fund works through the Breast Center at St. Vincent’s
Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York by funding mammograms for women
who cannot afford them. While writing Caner Vixen I found that 49% of women
facing breast cancer do not have medical insurance and have a greater risk of
dying from the disease. I found myself in that same position as my medical
insurance had lapsed. I was extremely lucky. I was able to obtain insurance
after marrying my then-fidanzato, (fiancé is French and he is SO Italian!) and
now husband, Silvano. I was so lucky and fortunate to have coverage to help
with the $192,702.04 costs of the treatment. I wanted to do something to honor

2. Your book tells the roller coaster ride of your experience fighting cancer.
What prompted you to include a frame (page 100) showing your psychic?
First of all I talk to her all the time! A lot of times I just call to talk to my friend
- I like talking to her and she's a good confidant. She's a good friend and is
always totally honest with me. She's tight-lipped and I trust her. She's funny
and fun for me to talk to. She was part of my cancer experience, especially
someone to call in the dead of night, and I wanted to show that. She was a voice
in the darkness for me at a time I really needed one.
3. Your book shows Dr. Nikki with a nuclear silo head and a shotgun. Can
you explain that?
She always used to say comments and talk about her shotguns . She's a fiesty
gal and I wanted to show her that way with a sense of humor. The nuclear silo
was a visual gimmick I used throughout the book to indicate those whose tempers
were riled by some of my experiences. I was trying to overcome and re-focus my
reactive behaviors. Dr. Nikki made no bones about emotionally standing up for
me when I needed her. It was great to have someone to call to be able to safely
vent to and release frustrations. She really helped me keep a positive attitude.
4. How long has Dr. Nikki been working with you as your Psychic and Life
Coach?
Five years now.
5. Why have you stayed with her so long?
That’s easy! She's accurate, she gives great advice, and she often does it in a
funny way. Besides, over the years we’ve become friends and I like her.
6. Does it really help to talk with her?
YES! There are times you need to have a confidant. Someone who gives good
advice and someone you can commiserate with. Dr. Nikki gives me that and
more. She helps me keep on track! And I need a sounding board.
7. Do her predictions really come true?
I would say she lives up to and surpasses her 85% statement. I would say she
is 90% accurate in her predictions when it comes to me.
8. How are your readings with her conducted? Do you have to do a lot of
preparation? Do you need an appointment?
She makes it so easy! I just give her a call. If she’s there, she takes my call
and we’re working together from “hello.” If she isn't there she sends me an e-mail
and lets me know when she will be available.

you?
