Wrapped in concealing robes that hint at much and reveal nothing, a woman peaks one eye out from the hood of the robe. She is bathed in the reflective glow of sunlight transmitted through the sphere of the Moon. The Moon glows with light as indicated by the many rays emanating from it. However, the light is not the light of the Moon — it is actually light that the Moon reflects from the Sun that we see as the “light of the silvery moon.”
The Moon can be elusive. The only body in our solar system that is visible during the day or the night, depending on her own cycle and phases. When she shows up in your spread you would do well to remember the coldness of her light. The Moon speaks of things being hidden. She warns us of false friends, untruthful persons, and those who are out to deceive us. The Moon also may be challenging you to rely on your own personal intuition, to go still and silent like the night and go inside your hidden depths for the strength, power and answers that lie there. The Moon warns to look beneath the surface, there may be more to a situation than you thought. When the Moon shines her reflected light at you, start with the mirror and look at yourself honestly, then look around you…it is likely time for you to be more perceptive about the energy paths so you can be receptive to those that move you forward on your life path.
