Six of Swords (Spades)

Here a woman sits in a boat which appears to have already begun its journey. Her cloak covers most of her, and she hangs her head in tired and pensive thought. We are shown the secret of the sword she has stowed within the boat.

The first and obvious meaning is that a trip or journey is soon at hand. Remember that this can be a physical journey or one of the soul or intellect. The woman is finally able to rest after the adversity she has faced. In her travels she can find the recuperative energy she needs. This card can also indicate that you may be giving or receiving proposals that are not comfortable. The woman is at the whim of the currents with no oar or paddle to move her craft through the waters. A sword is a great weapon, but not the best at propelling a craft through water. If the waters calm, she can be stalemated, unable to more forward.
